Lake George is located in the Adirondack Mountain region of New York state. The village of Lake George serves as an ideal base for exploring the region including the namesake lake itself, considered Queen of American Lakes. The mouth of the lake begins in the village and stretches for 32 miles. Many sightseeing cruises are offered on Lake George, some to nearby Paradise Bay.
